Bank Erosion
In 2009 further buffer strip fencing was undertaken at Old Shaw Green Farm. Unfortunately in the winter floods of 2010/2011 200 meters of bank was washed away along with 200 meters of fencing. The fencing was reinstated but there was still the risk of further bank erosion at this next flood In conjunction with the Environment Agency work was undertaken to prevent further erosion.The work consisted of widening the river banks and making one bank 45 degrees to the river.
